Hashknife Solar Energy Center
The Hashknife Solar Energy Center is an opportunity to boost the local economy of Navajo County and create jobs, all while generating clean, American made energy to meet Arizona's growing electricity demand. The proposed project is located south of Joseph City, northwest of the corner of Obed Road and Territorial Road.
At peak construction, the Hashknife Solar Energy Center is expected to employ as many as 375 people. After construction, the project will employ 3-5 additional permanent operations and maintenance (O&M) staff.
The Hashknife Solar Energy Center will support Navajo County through new property tax revenue, helping fund essential services for the community. Additionally, lease payments provide a steady stream of income for farmers and ranchers.
